We are a growing Australian business in the Restaurant Equipment Industry looking for an ambitious part or full-time bookkeeper to join our team. The right candidate will have positive leadership skills, strong auditing abilities, spreadsheet fluency and a close eye on the business’ bottom line.
About Us:
Restaurant Equipment Online is a successful ecommerce dropshipping business with over 40,000 satisfied customers in the past decade. We sell a wide range of products such as commercial fridges, cooking equipment, espresso machines, and bakery equipment to various industries in Australia and New Zealand, including restaurants and cafes. The Australian and New Zealand businesses while managed by the same team, are separated by different websites and Xero accounts.
The business currently has three Shopify websites and multiple sales channels, including seven salespeople, a website, and up to 10 marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, and Lazada. We receive around 1,000 orders each month, plus another 60+ credit notes and other adjustments. We use Xero for accounting and have two separate accounts for Australia and New Zealand.

Tasks:
Bookkeeping:
· Checking bank accounts for new payments received
· Entering new business expenses to Xero
· Reconciling all bank, credit card, and other accounts
· Reconciling Shopify batch payments
· Reconciling all marketplace sales & refunds, keeping all Xero records up to date
· Ensuring supplier bills and credit notes are kept up to date
· Preparing supplier statements for payments (weekly or monthly)
· Following up overdue payments internally with account managers/team members
· Preparing rebate invoices each month for suppliers
· Preparing monthly rebate payments for staff
· Preparing weekly/monthly payroll for remote staff
· Preparing weekly payroll for management in Xero
Auditing/Reporting:
· Reporting supplier cost discrepancies weekly
· Reporting delivery charge discrepancies weekly
· Cash account auditing – ensuring enough funds are available for supplier statement accounts
· Tax/GST account auditing – ensuring enough funds are available for GST and PAYG donations
