BOOKKEEPING ASSOCIATE – Location Independent

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to assist with bookkeeping and accounting services to serve a growing portfolio of clients in our boutique ecommerce accounting business.

Here’s what the BOOKKEEPING ASSOCIATE position will entail:

The role is remote and home-based, able to be performed from anywhere. This will begin as a part-time role with anticipated average hours of 10-15 hours/week, with lots of potential for growth in hours and responsibility, if desired. The ability to work independently and manage priorities is critical.

We’re looking to find the right candidate to fill this role ASAP.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist with month end close, by logging into various platforms (ie. Amazon, Shopify, Paypal, etc), pulling reports, analyzing data using pivot tables, and synthesizing that data into monthly recurring journal entries.
-Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), utilizing Bank Rules to maximize efficiency.
-Perform month-end bank reconciliations.
-Utilize excel to analyze financial data.
-Record bills in Click to view.
-Pay Payroll.
-Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Along with your unique talents and personality, our ideal candidate will have:
-At least one-year of work experience as a bookkeeper utilizing Quickbooks Online (QBO)
-Proficient understanding of QBO
-Thorough experience with Excel including creating pivot tables and utilizing filters
-Ability to manage priorities well, since you will be serving multiple clients
-Clear communication skills
-Excellent project tracking skills. You will be expected to provide status updates on various projects across multiple clients upon request.
-Experience with Click to view is a plus
-Experience with remote work tools, such as Slack, GoogleMeet, and Zoom is a plus
-General understanding of ecommerce sales channels, primarily Amazon and Shopify
-Reliable internet access
-Access to a reliable home computer/laptop
