Job Title: Remote Bookkeeper
About the Position:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Remote Bookkeeper to join our team. This part-time role is critical to our financial management and could potentially evolve into a full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including daily bank transaction reconciliations, invoice processing, payment handling, and deposit tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Financial Management: Reconcile bank transactions each day, ensuring that all invoices, payments, and deposits are accurately recorded and accounted for.
Invoicing and Payments: Generate and send out invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and process incoming payments.
Payroll Preparation: Monitor employee timesheets to accurately prepare payroll, ensuring all hours worked are properly accounted for.
Transaction Coding: Categorize financial transactions appropriately for ease of tracking and reporting.
Financial Reporting: Develop and present weekly financial reports to provide insights into financial health and monthly reports to track broader financial trends and performance.
Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and principles.
Proficiency in bookkeeping software Quickbooks online and at least 3 years experience.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordinating with team members and external partners.
Familiarity with payroll processing and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Working Conditions:
This is a remote position, with work hours from 8am-12:00pm Central Time.
Part-time role with the potential to transition into full-time based on performance and business needs.
