Bookkeeper Job Summary:

The Bookkeeper will manage financial transactions, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and client billing. Ensure accurate processing of payments, generate and send invoices to clients, reconcile financial statements, prepare monthly reports, and use accounting software to maintain records. Collaborate with other departments and contribute to financial policies to support the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records for the company, including processing and recording of all financial transactions such as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and client billing.
Process internal payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments.
Track and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable by monitoring all incoming and outgoing payments.
Generate and send invoices to clients, as well as manage client billing and follow up on any overdue payments.
Review all financial statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Manage and maintain financial records using accounting software such as Stripe, Suitedash, QuickBooks.
Prepare monthly financial reports for management review and analysis or as requested.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments within the organization as needed to support the overall financial health of the company.
Reconcile and invoice for speaking engagement expenses, ensuring that all expenses are accurately recorded and billed in a timely manner.
Communicate financial information with the accounting firm, including providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar field.
Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Stripe, and Suitedash.
Must have an experience in working with a US-Based company
Excellent math and numeracy skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills to manage and maintain accurate financial records for the company.
Excellent time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments within the organization and follow up on overdue payments with clients.
Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Proficiency in using computer software, such as spreadsheets, word processors, and email clients.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in their work.
Additional Requirements:

Must have a personal desktop or laptop.
Must have a stable broadband internet connection (Minimum of 50 MBPS).
Quiet and private workspace.
