Business Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team at J. Blanton Plumbing. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in assisting us in making data-driven decisions, optimizing processes, and ensuring the continued growth and success of our business. The ideal candidate is analytical, proficient in data manipulation, and report creation, and adept at using Excel and other spreadsheet tools.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
– Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to plumbing services, customer feedback, and financial performance.
– Create detailed reports and summaries to provide insights into key performance metrics and trends.
– Develop data-driven recommendations and strategies for improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

2. Dashboard Creation:
– Design and maintain interactive dashboards to visualize and monitor critical business metrics.
– Implement real-time data monitoring solutions to track plumbing service requests, technician performance, and customer engagement.

3. Mathematical Modeling:
– Utilize mathematical modeling and statistical analysis to forecast future trends and identify areas for improvement.
– Collaborate with management to develop pricing strategies, revenue projections, and cost optimization models.

4. Process Optimization:
– Identify areas of process improvement within the plumbing business, from scheduling to inventory management, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.

5. Collaboration:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technicians, customer service, and management, to gather data and insights.
– Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data integrity and implement necessary tools and systems.

6. Excel Proficiency:
– Excel will be your primary tool; you should be highly proficient in using it for data analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and creating advanced formulas.

Software will be Google Sheets and ServiceTitan

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
– Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a business or plumbing industry context.
– Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings effectively.
– Knowledge of mathematical modeling and statistical analysis techniques.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
