Business Development Manager
Full-Time | 40 Hours per week

Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM Philippine Time
About the Client: The client is a leading international brand, that integrates Chinese and German technology in its expansive operations across America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Its 47,000 sqm manufacturing plant produces 15,000 elevator units, 5,000 escalator/moving walkway units, and 1,000 car lifts annually. With a dedicated team of 180 engineers and a labor force of 600, they prioritize quality, evident in their six individual shafts testing facilities and commitment to ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
About the Role: The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to spearhead the growth initiatives, market penetration, and revenue enhancement for a leading international elevator solutions brand. This involves strategic planning, team leadership, effective negotiation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the company’s expansion in its operational territories across America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.
Key Responsibilities and Timeline for Achievements:
First 2 Weeks:
Orientation and understanding of the company’s products, services, technological integration, and operational framework.
Initial meetings with the sales and marketing teams to understand current strategies, challenges, and market positioning.
Familiarization with the CRM database, sales records, and existing client portfolios.
First Month:
Set specific sales targets and objectives in alignment with the company’s annual goals.
Conduct a comprehensive market analysis to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
Develop a detailed business development strategy, including targeted industries, geographies, and potential clients.
Begin outreach to potential clients and partners from a list of qualified leads to gauge interest and gather market feedback.
First 90 Days:
Focus on generating and nurturing leads, ensuring they are adequately warmed up for high-level discussions with the CEO. This involves scheduling meetings, preparing comprehensive briefs on potential clients, and coordinating seamlessly with the CEO’s office to facilitate these discussions
Enhance the lead generation process through targeted marketing strategies and personalized outreach to maintain engagement and interest.
Evaluate and refine the initial engagement and follow-up strategies based on feedback and outcomes from discussions between leads and the CEO.
Develop and implement an initial training program for new hires, emphasizing product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
In 180 Days:
Transition from initial introductions and CEO-led discussions to independently closing deals with new clients, demonstrating the capability to handle negotiations and seal agreements autonomously.
Utilize insights and relationships built during the first 90 days to effectively address client needs, offer customized solutions, and negotiate favorable terms that align with strategic business goals.
Conduct a midway review of the sales strategy based on successes and challenges encountered during deal closures, making necessary adjustments to ensure the achievement of sales targets.
Conduct comprehensive training and performance evaluations for the entire business development team, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and operational standards.
Introduce innovative sales and marketing tactics based on industry trends and competitor analysis to stay ahead in the market.
In a Year’s Time:
Demonstrate significant contribution to the company’s market reach and revenue growth, with a solid portfolio of new clients and successful projects.
Lead the business development team to exceed the annual sales targets and set higher benchmarks for the following year.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation within the team, aligning with the company’s commitment to quality and excellence.
Screening Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record.
1-2 years of leadership experience, showcasing effective team management and mentorship.
Experience in Engineering/Construction and elevator companies is highly prioritized.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and drive revenue growth.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce is preferred but not required) for efficient management of sales data and performance tracking.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities, with a keen understanding of the industry and market trends.
