Business Development Representative Job Description

Objective of the BDR Role
o Add high quality leads to the sales pipeline
o Support and accelerate the process of adding new customers
o Assure effectiveness of outsourced SDR’s lead generation efforts
o Effective coordination of technical briefings for qualified leads
o Accurately record and manage follow up items and next steps in CRM tool
o Manage the pipeline of hot leads and keep them engaged through regular follow up
o Develop best practices and enhance our outsourced lead generation strategies
Responsibilities
o Establish long-term trusting relationships with prospective customers
o Proactively seek new sales opportunities with guidance from CEO
o Coordinate with outsourced SDR firm to qualify leads and transition them to sales opportunities
o Manage and update the Pipedrive CRM tool
o Communicate with prospects via email
o Draft teaser emails and assemble custom introductory emails
o Draft one-page industry specific solution overviews for SDR outreach
o Expand the library of available sales materials
o Send out follow up materials after customer briefings
o Capture and record customer contact details in Pipedrive
o Publish periodic pipeline reports & lead pipeline review meetings
o Set up technical briefings and follow up meetings with prospective customers and Versity VP’s
o Monitor incoming sales related emails and tag for follow up action as needed
o Report to CEO with weekly, monthly, quarterly updates
o Support steady and sustained revenue growth
Required Skills and Qualifications
o Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
o Advanced skills for Apple Keynote presentation software (local OSX version not web version)
o Must have a Mac and be a Mac user & Dropbox user (Windows not viable)
o Slack
o Availability during US Central time business hours and flexibility for calls outside this time occasionally
o Strong people skills and strong organizational skills
o Results oriented and capable of diagnosing problems then implementing solutions
o Continuous improvement mindset
Preferred Qualifications
o Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
o Experience working on a small focused team
o Experience working with a senior executive leaders
