Highland Park Lapidary is looking for a Business Process Associate to research, analyze, and recommend improvements to an organization’s business processes in order to improve overall organization performance. He/she will also study operational and performance data to identify
trends and opportunities for improvement. You will also develop project plans,
communicate changes and provide training to impacted business units. The Business
Process Associate work is highly independent yet is responsible to the entire
Operations function of our organization. They will over-index in customer obsession
and have an end-to-end owner mentality. You will need to deliver results in a
fast-paced and ambiguous environment relative to Business Process Management.

Here’s what your day-to-day will look like when you join our team:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Business Process Associate, you will be required to perform a variety of tasks, such as but not limited to the following:
– Assisting with process analysis: As an Associate, you will work closely with the Business Process Specialist of the organization in order to implement the strategies successfully. to gather and analyze data related to current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for process optimization.
– Documenting processes: Creates and maintains process documentation, including process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.
– Participating in process improvement initiatives: Works with senior process specialists to identify and implement process improvements, such as automation, standardization, and process redesign.
– Monitoring and measuring process performance: Helps to monitor and measure process performance against established metrics and KPIs, and identify opportunities for further improvement.
– Supporting process training and communication: Assists with training, communication, identifying and escalating pain to process changes, ensuring that all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities in the updated processes.
– Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that process changes are implemented successfully and to identify additional opportunities for process optimization.
– Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices: The junior business process specialist stays up-to-date
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
– Robust and proven business acumen
– Ability to identify accurately document complex processes and visually show how they relate so that team members can understand them, use them, and be held accountable to fulfilling them.
– Must have an aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels both in-person and remotely
– Must have the ability to deal with different personalities, cooperate with other team members and work under pressure
– Proven ability to juggle multiple internal projects at a time, while maintaining razor-sharp attention to detail
– Substantial experience with project management software (e.g.,Asana)
– Substantial experience with process flow software (e.g.,Lucidchart)
– Substantial experience with G-Suite (Slides and Docs)
– Someone who can look at things from different angles and ask questions to seek a better understanding
– Primary values include quality output, goal-orientation, objectivity, attention to detail, and professionalism
– Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
– 5 years’ work experience in Business Consulting or Management
– Strong analytical skill sets
– Proficient knowledge of G Suite products
