Mercian Accountants seeks a business writer to create content on various business topics.
This content will be published online on our UK website and other websites and blogs.
Our audience is UK business owners and managers.
Topics covered are UK business, UK finance, and UK tax.
This role requires a top-class writer to become a trusted data source for UK journalists and UK business bloggers.
You will be numerate and comfortable with handling data and charts.
Select appropriate UK stock images or UK photos to illustrate your work (respecting copyright and licensing).
Key Responsibilities
– Research information on various topics across multiple sources
– We provide ideas for topics and outlines
– Analyse data in Excel to produce charts
– Pick out the critical data points likely to be attractive to journalists or business bloggers

– Flawless UK English spelling and phrasing (not USA!)

Conditions and benefits
– This is a 100% work-from-home role; you must have a suitable, quiet working space.
– 28 days paid holiday (for a complete year) – eight will be UK (England) public holidays and five will be Christmas week.
– You will work 9:00 to 5:30 (London, UK timezone), Monday to Friday.
– You must have a fast, stable internet connection, a modern laptop, and a second monitor.
– Continue ongoing education by participating in courses, webinars, workshops, conferences, etc.
Pay
Pay is reviewed biannually after completing your six-month probationary period.
Payment monthly via Wise.
Bonuses for exceptional work.
Pay increases with performance and length of service.
