Position Summary

The CAD Draftsman is responsible for the creation of Drawings, as appropriate for designing, scoping, and construction systems for Height Safety. The drawings will be required to be used for making sure the systems meet relevant legal requirements (such as building codes), for potential cooperation with other trades (E.g. structural steel), and for as built and producer statement documentation of the duties the CAD Draftsman may be required to liaise with PBI Sales Consultants, Quantity Surveyors, and Project Managers; and externally with product suppliers, manufacturers, engineers and Clients such as Architects or Construction Companies.
Responsibilities
• Interpreting draft sketches, notes, and other information to turn them into detailed technical drawings.

• Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.

• Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CAD systems.

• Preparing detailed mark-ups when required for system design

• Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.

• Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the Sales Consultants, Quantity Surveyors, and Project Manager/ Delivery team.

• Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations and standards (e.g. Producer Statements).

• Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.

• Working with third-party engineers and architects to arrive at an agreed detail.

• Collaborate with product suppliers for additional information, acceptable solutions, details, and the like.

• Maintain an organized database of drawings and reference materials.

Requirements
• Engineering Degree or relevant industry qualification preferred.

• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks or similar software.

• Understanding of Building Information Modeling and its dimensions

• Understanding of Drawing Sets, conventions, and construction methodologies relevant to the New Zealand construction industry.

• Good time and task management organized and responsive to email inbox.

• Excellent English communication, especially in written form.

• Ability to liaise with product manufacturers if more information is required (e.g. additional DWGs, measurements, and the like).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess project requirements and make informed decisions.

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.

• Experience in the construction and/or civil engineering industry would be advantageous.

• Willingness to work to New Zealand/Australian Working Hours.

• Willingness to work or relocate in the Angeles City Pampanga Office.
