We are on the lookout for a certified Bookkeeper with a strong background in full-cycle accounting and QuickBooks, Xero, and an in-depth understanding of Canadian tax including GST and PST and Payroll to join our energetic team.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for our companies across the corporate group, including full-cycle accounting: purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, all while ensuring compliance with Canadian tax requirements. You will work closely with our accountants to not only record daily transactions but to also provide insights and solutions that will contribute to the strategic financial planning of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all full-cycle bookkeeping activities, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and payroll processing.

Expertly utilize QuickBooks and Xero for all financial transactions and record-keeping.

Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end reconciliations.
Prepare accurate financial reports for internal and external use.
Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Canadian taxes and ensure compliance with all tax filing requirements.
Assist with budget preparation and audit processes.

Qualifications:

Professional Bookkeeper with Relevant Degree and Canadian Professional Experience
Certification in QuickBooks and Xero is mandatory.
Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of the nuances of Canadian taxes.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Open to taking on office administrator responsibilities and bookkeeping
Available to work full time between 8am – 5pm Vancouver Time. 1 hour for lunch
