Job Description

The Tech Academy is an award-winning technology school in the United States that specializes in coding boot camps. We have an incredible opportunity that not only will allow you to help others, but you will be trained in new valuable technology skills. WE WILL TRAIN YOU.

We are looking for career counselors who will help our graduates land technical jobs through career coaching, training and consultation.

We want people skilled and experienced in these area:
-Strong and fluent English skills
-Have experience working for a tech company based in the United States
-Patient, tolerant, understanding and enjoy helping others

You must be willing to work 40 hours per week on this schedule:

Mondays-Fridays 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. PDT – Tuesdays-Saturdays 12:00 a.m. (midnight)-9:00 a.m. PHT.

We will pay $500 a month during training (training will take between 1-2 months depending on your study speed and past experience).

After the training, the pay will increase to $600/month.

Your training will include studying and completing: 1. Tech Academy school policies, 2. Job Placement Director Course and Apprenticeship, and 3. Quality Control Director Course and Apprenticeship.

The duties of this position include:
-Ensure students maintain professional portfolios and active GitHub accounts, and adhere to high-quality standards in their resumes, providing thorough reviews, detailed feedback, corrections, and conducting mock interviews to increase readiness.
-Educate students on industry standards, best practices for job searching, and the importance of dedicating full-time efforts to the job search process, including completing the Job Placement Course before receiving assistance.
-Advise and motivate students to pursue multiple job opportunities simultaneously, send out a high volume of resumes and applications, and set targets and deadlines to facilitate progress.
-Guide students through a structured series of job search actions, including navigating job boards, writing cover letters, networking, and conducting job search sessions to increase confidence and success.
-Monitor and analyze key job search statistics, apply positive pressure to motivate action, and debug job search processes to identify and address issues.
-Provide encouragement, motivation, and examples to keep students experiencing challenges motivated, emphasizing the responsibility of landing a job and establishing close relationships to emphasize this responsibility.
-Document instances of student misconduct or non-compliance and focus on addressing fundamental issues hindering success.
-Continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends to provide relevant and informed guidance, encouraging networking as an effective strategy and facilitating opportunities for networking.
