JOB SUMMARY
This role is tasked with being a subject matter expert (SME) in the realm of Managed Service Provider (MSP) tools, security tools, patch management, alerting systems, and backup administration. In this role, you will collaborate closely with technical teams, while ensuring consistent delivery of our tools, increasing security, enhancing performance, and reducing trouble tickets.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as SME and administrator for a suite of tools which may include:
RMM tools: Connectwise, Kaseya, NinjaOne
Security tools: Enterprise antivirus/EDR, content and spam filtering, KnowBe4 for training and awareness, vulnerability scanning tools
Patching and alerting management
Scripting experience
Multi-factor authentication frameworks including DUO, Google Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator
Backup management solutions: Datto, VEEAM, Axcient, Unitrends, Acronis, N-Able
Work closely with the technical teams to ensure that all client systems and data are secure and compliant
Offer technical guidance and recommendations on optimizing the use of MSP and security tools
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation pertaining to MSP tools, security infrastructure, and backup management processes
Engage in ongoing technical training and professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
Provide technical support to clients as required
Qualifications
Previous experience in an MSP environment, encompassing technical support, systems administration, or IT operations
Possession of relevant technical industry certifications and product-specific credentials
Demonstrated proficiency with some or all of the specified tools
Solid comprehension of IT infrastructure and software, encompassing cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data center operations
Experience with Microsoft 365/Azure required; Expert level preferred
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
