Background on our artist that will start the label off:
He has been in the hip-hop industry for 3 years. He is about to release his first single and music video. He has a contract to make his next single with a producer who just won a Grammy in 2022. He has some funding already secured. He is very kind and motivated to make the world a better place through his music. Kendrick Lamar is the best example of the kind of artist he is trying to become. He has a huge background in the film industry and the business world. He is looking for a manager to take his music career to the next level and to start his own label. So it would be amazing if you would also like to become CEO as well of the label.
We need you to help shape our hip-hop artists’ careers both in a day-to-day and long-term sense. We need you to help book gigs, plan album projects, orchestrate record releases and tours, create marketing and merchandising strategies, and establish and pursue long-term career goals. We need help with negotiating record deal contracts, and even helping our artist improve their mental and physical health.
If you don’t have artist management experience or record label CEO experience, that is okay. But we are looking for someone who has extensive experience in the music industry. You need to know how specific strategies to help our artist to become successful.
An exceptional amount of energy, resiliency and drive is necessary. The job itself requires the strength to make tough decisions, the confidence and persistence to never take no for an answer, and the excellent communication skills to inspire and motivate a large staff.
You will work long days, nights, and weekends, often under high pressure, in order to support our artists. Between all the meetings, emails, phone calls, presentations, awards shows, networking events, and other duties, you won’t get much downtime—hopefully you like it that way.
