Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief of Staff to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the happiness and productivity of our employees, handling HR-related issues, managing leave policies and absence requests, overseeing new hires and the recruitment process, and organizing meetups with our team in the Philippines.

Responsibilities:
Employee Well-being and Productivity
– Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee satisfaction and productivity.
– Develop and implement programs and initiatives to boost employee morale and engagement.
– Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

HR Issue Escalation
– Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related issues and concerns.
– Escalate significant HR issues to the CEO promptly and effectively.
– Ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to and remain compliant with local labor laws.
– Leave Policies and Absence Management
– Manage and administer leave policies and procedures.
– Handle all absence requests and maintain accurate records of employee leave.
– Ensure compliance with statutory requirements regarding employee leave.

Organizing Meetups
– Plan and organize regular meetups and team-building activities in the Philippines.
– Coordinate logistics for physical meetings, including venue selection, travel arrangements, and agenda planning.
– Foster a sense of community and collaboration among remote and in-office team members.

Operational Support
– Identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to streamline processes.
– Be a part of implementing a KPI system across the organization
– Overseeing daily operations to ensure they align with the company’s goals.

Talent Management
– Oversee the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
– Coordinate with department heads to identify staffing needs and manage the recruitment pipeline.
– Work closely with our recruiter in hiring new people.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
– Strong understanding of HR practices and labor laws in the Philippines.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
– Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
– Proficiency in HR software and tools is a plus.

Salary:
Up to $2,500 per month, based on experience and qualifications.

The company is growing at a rapid pace, and have gone from 2 to 30 employees since August 2023.
