Job Title: Children’s Author (Freelance, As Needed)

About the Role:

We’re looking for a successful children’s author to join our team on a temporary, ongoing basis. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects involving the creation and editing of children’s stories. Please put your favorite color in subject line This position will be on an as-needed basis, offering the flexibility to work on exciting projects without a fixed commitment.

Responsibilities:

Write engaging, creative, and educational stories for children.
Edit, proofread, and improve stories to ensure they are of high quality and suitable for the intended age group.
Collaborate with our team to brainstorm new story ideas and concepts.
Adapt writing style to cater to different age groups and genres, as necessary.
Ensure all content aligns with our company’s values and standards.
Respond promptly to feedback and make necessary revisions.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a successful children’s author.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Strong editing and proofreading skills.
Creative thinker with the ability to come up with unique story ideas.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team.
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of child development and the ability to write content appropriate for different age groups.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing, Literature, Education, or related field.
Published children’s books or stories.
Experience working on a freelance or contractual basis.
