Main Responsibilities
• Prepare technical engineering design drawings for roads and highway transportation projects, using AutoCAD.
• Must be able to work Australian east coast working hours (UTC+11), 9am -5pm Monday – Friday.
• Must be available for a daily 15min morning Teams call with Civil Drafting Team Leader.
Our ideal candidate
• Minimum 2 years’ civil drafting work experience working on road and transport infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D). Proficient in AutoCAD scripts and lisps (preferred).
• Ability to communicate clearly and purposefully with direct manager and wider D-TAL team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive and PowerPoint.
• Clear understanding and demonstrated ability to apply TfNSW CAD manual standards.
• Proficient in ProjectWise (preferred).
• Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings such as plans, details and ability to communicate design intent concisely.
• Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A laptop or desktop computer with a high performing graphics card, processor and min. 32GB RAM. Dual 24–27-inch monitors preferred.
• A stable internet connection (min. download speeds of 50mbps).
