Location: Remote, with a focus on Australian Standards

 
Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Structural Civil Engineer with expertise in civil structure engineering, specifically in the housing and residential sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed architectural drawings, performing structure analysis, and ensuring all designs meet Australian Standards. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, proficiency in CAD, and the ability to use structural analysis toolkits effectively.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed architectural and structural drawings for residential projects using CAD software, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
Conduct structural analysis and design of residential structures, utilizing advanced structural toolkits and analysis programs.
Collaborate with the architectural team to integrate structural designs with architectural concepts.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including calculations, spreadsheets, and reports to support design decisions.
Engage in the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to construction, ensuring structural integrity and compliance.
Continuously update knowledge on Australian Standards relevant to housing and residential design, incorporating changes into project execution.
Liaise with clients, architects, and construction teams, providing technical advice and ensuring seamless communication regarding structural design elements.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent, with a focus on structural engineering.
Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in structural design and analysis, specifically within the housing and residential sectors.
Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with structural analysis programs and tools.
Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to residential construction and design.
Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to perform complex computations and prepare detailed reports.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

– Minimum 10 MBPS internet connection.
– Backup internet connection (postpaid or prepaid).
– Laptop or desktop with updated operating systems (at least core i5 or higher).
– Backup laptop or desktop (at least core i5 or higher).
– Headset with microphone for clear communication.
– Willingness to use Time Doctor for monitoring.
– Maintain a noise-free work environment during working hours.
– Must not be currently employed full time elsewhere.
