Hello, we are looking for someone to help us process raw clips from existing long-form footage. Specifically, we need someone to use Descript to edit mistakes WITHIN a cut clip that will be provided to you. The goal is to make the clips coherent, internally consistent, and to remove excess rambling. After these simple raw intra-clip edits & Descript captions, you would send it to our main editor to add animations in Adobe Premier.
Technically, you do not need to be an advanced video editor, as the “editing” you will start with is with the simple GUI of Descript. We will give preference though to experienced video editors because long-term we need someone to help with post production, animation, etc in a “real” editing software like Adobe Premier.
Duties:
– PRIMARY: edit selected ~45s clips within Descript (raw clip already taken from long-form, you just do intra-clip editing)
– secondary: do the post-production too instead of sending it to our other person (we train over time)
– long-term: be able to help pick the beginning and end timestamps of clips from the raw footage. For now our ops manager will be providing these to you because it requires a lot of context and understanding of clients.
This is a FULLY REMOTE, full-time 40hr/week position with a rate of $521 per month. Our working conditions are flexible & low-stress. All past and current employees have commented how much they enjoy working with us because of our management style.
Approximate working hours: 7am – 4pm EASTERN TIME
We are a small LinkedIn video ads agency, and we create ad creatives that are similar to regular social media posts. The video clips we work with are taken from interviews of the clients.
