Co-Living Leasing Manager

Avenir Homes is a co-living company that started in 2020 and currently manages oversees 180 tenants in two states. Coliving is where we rent homes out by the room typically to young professionals and others looking to save money on rent while making new friends.

Our leasing division is responsible for marketing our rooms, screening prospective tenants, and working to create an exceptional experience for tenants from beginning to end.

We are looking for experienced leasing managers who are interested in helping develop and improve our leasing processes. We encourage people to question the status quo and push forward new ways to achieve our company’s goals as well as promises to tenants and owners.

Responsibilities
– Manage property listings, photos, information, and distribution across systems such as Buildium, AppFolio, Facebook, etc
– Screen tenants over the phone or via text through effective questioning and conduct reference calls
– Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, or text.
– Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and coordinate lease signings
– Coordinate showings with our Field Ops team to handle in-person appointments while encouraging applicants to utilize online resources, 3D tours, and other ways to get to know us
– Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective residents.
– Stay updated on current market conditions and familiarize oneself with competitor offerings.
– Resolve resident concerns and provide a high level of customer service.

Qualifications
– Previous experience in property leasing, sales, or a related field is preferred.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, etc.) is an advantage.
– Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– Must be a team player but also able to work independently.
– High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
