We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced R&D Coffee & Tea Specialist to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. As a specialist in the coffee and tea industry, you will be instrumental in shaping our coffee and tea concept through experimentation, research, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends. Responsibilities:
– Conduct thorough research and analysis of local coffee and tea trends, as well as emerging concepts in the industry.
– Stay informed about the latest developments, innovations, and evolving preferences in the coffee and tea market.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new and unique beverage and food offerings that align with our coffee and tea concept.
– Experiment with different brewing techniques, flavors, ingredients, and presentation styles to create exceptional coffee and tea experiences.
– Actively contribute to the development of menu items, including the creation of signature coffee and tea blends.
– Regularly evaluate and provide insights on the quality, taste, and presentation of our coffee and tea offerings.
– Maintain meticulous records of experiments, recipes, and findings to track and replicate successful outcomes.
– Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality coffee beans, tea leaves, and other essential ingredients.
– Stay up-to-date with advancements in equipment, brewing methods, and technologies relevant to the coffee and tea industry.
– Work closely with the marketing team to provide input on branding strategies and promotional campaigns.

Requirements:
– A genuine passion for coffee and tea, along with a deep appreciation for the wide range of flavors and concepts in the industry.
– Proven experience in the coffee or tea industry, preferably in a research and development role.
– Strong knowledge of local and global coffee and tea trends, as well as an ability to anticipate and adapt to changing consumer preferences.
– Demonstrated ability to experiment with different beverage and food combinations, resulting in innovative and appealing products.
– Excellent research skills to identify local trends and adapt them to our coffee and tea concept.
– Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
– Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
– Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records of experiments, recipes, and findings.

Education
– Culinary degree preferred
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred Experience
– 3-5 years of progressive food and beverage R&D and food industry experience preferred
– 1+ year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service related company preferred
