Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Virtual Assistant to support our sales team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks. This full-time position will begin with cold calling responsibilities and progress into inside sales and appointment setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Cold Calling:
• Make outbound calls to a provided list of fire departments and public safety organizations.
• Conduct scripted and targeted calls to gather information about SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) equipment, dive team presence, maintenance procedures, and future purchasing plans.
• Adapt communication style to engage prospects effectively and build rapport.
2. Data Management:
• Maintain an organized Excel spreadsheet with updated customer information, call outcomes, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry to facilitate informed decision-making and future outreach.
3. Email Communication:
• Promptly send email summaries of call conversations and customer information to the sales team, highlighting potential leads for follow-up.
• Follow established protocols for email correspondence and maintain professionalism in all communications.
4. Appointment Setting:
• Identify and qualify potential leads interested in further discussions or product demonstrations.
• Schedule discovery calls or appointments for the sales team with qualified prospects, emphasizing the value proposition of our products and services.
• Coordinate scheduling details and ensure seamless transition of leads to the sales team for follow-up.
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Seek feedback from the sales team and management to improve call scripts, strategies, and overall performance.
• Stay informed about industry trends, product updates, and competitor offerings to enhance sales effectiveness.
Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email communication.
• Previous experience in sales, cold calling, or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with the firefighting field or experience working in a related industry is advantageous.
• Reliable internet connection for using VOIP.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving responsibilities and tasks.
