Position Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Rental Collection Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing rental accounts, collecting payments, and ensuring timely and accurate rental income. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of billing and collections, and the ability to handle sensitive financial matters with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Payment Collection:

Manage and collect rental payments from tenants.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
Follow up on overdue accounts and implement collection procedures.
Account Management:

Maintain detailed records of rental transactions.
Monitor tenant accounts to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
Prepare and distribute regular rental statements to tenants.
Customer Service:

Address tenant inquiries and concerns regarding rental accounts.
Provide excellent customer service to ensure tenant satisfaction.
Work collaboratively with property management to resolve tenant issues.
Reporting:

Generate and analyze reports on rental income and outstanding balances.
Provide regular updates to management on collection activities and account statuses.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to rental income.
Compliance and Procedures:

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding rental collections.
Develop and implement collection policies and procedures.
Stay informed about changes in rental laws and industry best practices.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in billing, collections, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and collection processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in property management or real estate industry.
Familiarity with property management software.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Working Conditions:

Office environment with occasional site visits as required.
Full-time position with potential for occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or handle urgent collection issues.
