As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing and responding to legal demands, complaints, and regulatory agency reviews. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of collections laws, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review and respond to attorney demands, complaints, and regulatory agency reviews and submissions.
• Analyze past account activity in relation to complaints or disputes, ensuring alignment with company policies and applicable laws.
• Audit disputes and complaints, summarizing trends, identifying efficiencies, and proposing improvements.
• Assist in developing and delivering training on best practices through procedure management and enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance projects and deliverables are completed effectively.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the company’s compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, reports, and training materials.
• Conduct internal audits to assess compliance levels and identify areas for improvement.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from regulatory agencies, legal representatives, or internal stakeholders.
• Adhere to the company’s camera-on policy during working hours to enhance communication and accountability.
• Ad hoc tasks from the client.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in compliance, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of collections laws and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Undergo 3 days of paid training. If there’s an urgency for the role, then the new hire must render an hour of paid OT before or after the shift for 3 weeks.
• Amenable to work Monday through Friday between 8 AM – 5 PM US Pacific Standard Time.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in compliance or related field.
• Experience with procedure management and process improvement.
• Familiarity with the financial services or collections industry.
• Ability to adapt to changing regulatory landscapes.
