Join our team as a Compliance Specialist with extensive experience in Real Estate. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines, conducting internal audits, and overseeing various compliance-related tasks. The Compliance Specialist will particularly focus on SAR investigations, compliance training, policy development, state compliance matrices, approved broker lists, and internal audits.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct investigations into any reported suspicious activities.
• Prepare and file SAR reports.
• Maintain internal documentation and reporting on SAR activities.
• Issue quarterly compliance training using Knowledge Coop for company employees.
• Clone training modules from the Knowledge Coop Admin site.
• Monitor and maintain a spreadsheet tracking the completion of training.
• Develop and update policies and procedures related to BSA-AML and Mortgage Fraud.
• Research and compile In-State Office Requirements for Brokers.
• Develop and update the Texas Compliance Matrix.
• Maintain a comprehensive list of approved brokers and programs.
• Conduct an annual internal audit focused on the company’s SAFE Act compliance.
• Ad hoc tasks from the client.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Compliance Specialist in the Real Estate industry.
• In-depth knowledge of SAR investigations, filings, and reporting.
• Experience in conducting compliance training, particularly in AML/BSA, ACT, RESPA, SAFE, and QM ATR.
• Familiarity with developing and updating policies and procedures, specifically in BSA-AML and Mortgage Fraud.
• Strong understanding of state compliance matrices, especially In-State Office Requirements for Brokers and Texas Matrix.
• Ability to maintain and update an approved broker list.
• Experience in conducting internal audits, with a focus on the company’s SAFE Act compliance.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Undergo 3 days of paid training. If there’s an urgency for the role, then the new hire is required to render an hour of paid OT before or after the shift for 3 weeks.
• Amenable to work Monday through Friday either 8 AM – 12NN OR 1 PM – 5 PM Pacific Standard Time.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant certifications in Compliance or Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
• Previous experience in a similar role within the Real Estate compliance domain.
• Knowledge of industry-standard compliance tools and software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
