Overview:

An opportunity for full and part time Claims Consultants to join our team have emerged.

The role is tailored for a highly organised individual, ideally with a background in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering in a commercial capacity, with exposure to project management and concurrent experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Company in the administration and organisation of construction claims and dispute assessments. This position is perfect for those interested in the legal and contractual aspects of the construction industry, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Company. Maintain the utmost confidentiality regarding all sensitive information encountered during work. Assist in the detailed analysis and valuation of construction work, applying basic measurement and data analysis principles. Support the assessment and management of construction claims, focusing on assisting with the quantum of claims relating to delay, disruption, construction work repairs, and cost implications. Aid in reviewing and interpreting financial data from construction company accounts under the guidance of senior staff. Help evaluate construction rates and contracts, contributing to the preliminary stages of dispute resolution. Undertake general administrative duties, including document preparation, drafting, and presentation related to contract administration, construction claims, and commercial management. Engage in research activities to support the company’s knowledge base and libraries. Contribute to developing training materials, website articles, and other content under the direction of senior staff. Provide direct organisational and administrative support to the Directors as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree or currently studying towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management. Experience & familiarity in construction claims measurement, valuation, claim assessment, and dispute resolution is beneficial but not essential. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, particularly relating to construction delay, scheduling, costs, and measurements. An understanding of, or interest in, the legal aspects of the construction industry.

Skills:

Excellent organisational and administrative skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities. Exceptional time management and the ability to meet deadlines. Attention to detail is paramount. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Competence in relevant software and technology tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Revit, Excel, Word). Commitment to maintaining high confidentiality standards.
