Overview:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor or Civil Engineer to join in a consultant capacity with our dynamic team, specialising in the assessment and resolution of construction claims and disputes. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in measurement and data analysis for construction claims valuation, in delay and disruption, and a keen interest in legal aspects of the construction industry internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive information encountered in the course of work.
Conduct detailed analysis and valuation of construction work, applying expertise in measurement and data analysis techniques.
Assess and manage construction claims, focusing on quantum of claims relating to delay, disruption, construction work repairs, and associated cost implications.
Review and interpret financial data from construction company accounts, ensuring accuracy in cost claims and measurements.
Evaluate construction rates and contracts, contributing to the resolution of disputes (price indices, where appropriate, provided)
Assist in general administrative duties during less busy periods.
Engage in research activities to enhance the company’s knowledge base and libraries.
Contribute to the development of training materials, website articles, and other content related to legal aspects of the construction industry.
Provide direct support to the Managing Director as required.
Drafting documents, presenting spreadsheets and helping with document preparation and presentation of documentation relating to contract administration, construction claims and commercial management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Quantity Surveying , Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
Demonstrated experience in construction claims measurement, valuation, claim assessment, and dispute resolution.
Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, particularly relating to construction costs and measurements.
Familiarity with legal aspects of the construction industry is highly desirable.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in relevant software and technology tools, Bluebell, Revue, Excel, Word, and similar
Commitment to maintaining high confidentiality standards.
