Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Coordinator to play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth execution of construction projects. The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of the construction process, collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a solid understanding of construction processes.

Responsibilities:
*Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress and update stakeholders on status regularly.
*Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, including soliciting bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
*Procurement: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of construction materials and equipment, and maintain inventory control.
*Compliance and Permits: Assist in securing necessary permits and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
*Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to guarantee construction work meets established standards and expectations.
*Safety Oversight: Promote and enforce safety protocols on construction sites, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing potential hazards promptly.
*Communication: Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and the construction team, to facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues that may arise.
*Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
*Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and assist in cost-tracking to ensure projects stay within budgetary limits.
*Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve project-related challenges promptly, implementing creative solutions when necessary.
*Schedule Adherence: Ensure construction projects adhere to established timelines and milestones, adjusting plans as needed to address delays or changes.
*Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance construction efficiency and quality.

Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
*Proven experience in construction coordination or project management within the construction industry.
*Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
*Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
*Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse stakeholders.
*Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
*Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
*Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
*Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
*Leadership qualities with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
*A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
*Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
*Prior experience in coordinating multiple construction projects simultaneously is a plus.
*Experience using Projul is a PLUS.
