Construction Estimator

Better Basements has an industry leading company within the Melbourne high end
residential basement construction industry is seeking an estimator for a position that
offers a rewarding opportunity to work with team members with a wealth of industry
experience.

Your New Job:
? Opportunity to work closely with Project and Sales Managers through entire scope of
project.
? Analyse construction drawings, specs & other documentation to prepare
comprehensive cost estimates and construction schedules.
? Review and submit tenders to all builders pricing up a project.
? Provide other technical, project or administrative support to the team as required.

Qualifications:
? Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably a degree in Construction Management or
Engineering.
? Proficiency in estimating programs and software implementation.
? Understanding of construction contracts, design, and cost implications.
? Exceptional cost management skills.
? Proven track record in tender preparation and winning projects up to AU $ 1 million.

Successful Candidate:
? Experience in the building estimating or directly translatable industry would be
preferable.
? Strong attention to detail – paying attention to the little things may have the biggest
impact.
? Excellent communication skills a must – internal and external stakeholders.
? A positive, proactive attitude where giving it your all is the only option.
? Computer literacy skills required – training provided for bespoke systems, however
Microsoft Word/XL and Outlook experience required.
