We are a supplier of interior doors, exterior doors, millwork and flooring for wide ranging construction projects in Washington State, United States. We are looking for a takeoff and estimating expert to join our team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Read and interpret architectural specifications, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine product requirements; ensure compliance to required building code and with related legislative bodies.
2. Perform quantity take-offs based on project specifications for products ensuring accuracy of quantity requirements, and adherence to schedules where appropriate
3. Maintain tendering processes, and cost monitoring and reporting systems
4. Obtain competitive pricing from multiple vendors, freight companies, and brokers to provide the company with the best opportunity to successfully secure an order, and maintain vendor relationships
5. Review and comply with tender requirements as outlined in the front end documents, and scope of work requirements (when applicable) of the project manual.
6. Ensure appropriate costing is applied when projects are phased, or to meet the demands of the construction schedule.
7. Ensure work is completed on time and in full based on deadlines provided (both internal and external)
8. Observe and adhere to all safety policies and identify and report unsafe work practices or conditions
9. Provide an exceptional level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job requires minimal leadership and supervisory responsibilities, where employees work independently and are only responsible for monitoring themselves.
• Work is structured in such a way that the tasks to be completed are presented to the incumbent in the order in which they are to be done with little to no alteration possible in the sequence.

Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years or more related experience to quantity based construction take off
• 3 years of more of working with a us based company
Practical/Technical Skills
· Proven ability to estimate project work
· Proven ability to read architectural specifications and blueprints
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a minimum of an intermediate ability to:
· Operate computer software including Microsoft Office
