Job Description

We are currently seeking a Remote Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in construction and the ability to work remotely. The Estimator will play a pivotal role in analyzing construction plans, utilizing measuring software for takeoffs and counts, and providing accurate estimates for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret construction plans to understand project requirements thoroughly.
• Utilize measuring software to perform accurate takeoffs and counts for materials and labor.
• Develop detailed and precise estimates for construction projects, considering all relevant factors.
• Conduct cost analysis based on labor, materials, and additional project requirements.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of all estimates and supporting data.
• Ensure estimates align with budgetary constraints and financial guidelines.
• Ad hoc tasks from the client.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Experience working with measuring software for takeoffs and counts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements and costs accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining accuracy.
• Undergo 3 days of paid training. If there’s an urgency for the role, the new hire must render an hour of paid OT before or after the shift for 3 weeks.
• Amenable to work Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Construction Estimator is highly advantageous.
• Relevant certifications in construction estimating or related areas are a plus.
• Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software.
• Proactive approach to learning and staying updated on construction industry trends and technologies.
• Prior experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is beneficial.
• Knowledge and proficiency in using Bluebeam is a PLUS.
