Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join a well-established Construction Firm in US!

The role is responsible to identify items to be quoted and take-off quantities from architectural drawings, obtain all relevant project specifications, and provide details to cost estimators. In addition, they will be providing administration support and tender assistance across various projects.

The successful candidate will be an all-rounder self-starter and team player. You must be able to translate project requirements into quantitative figures with ease and be able to meet deadlines.

This role would suit an organized, proactive and highly detail-oriented team player who can thrive within a fast pace and growing work environment. Someone with well-developed problem-solving skills, who embraces challenges with a positive outlook.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Identifies items within scope to be quoted and measure quantities by studying plans and specifications.
Prepares bill of quantities.
Navigates and understands building codes and client specifications.
Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
Review tender documentation to determine tender submission requirements.
Assist with tender submissions, including but not limited to obtaining the required information and documentation from sources, and proofreading and cross referencing against Client request for information.
Assist in formatting tender documentation ensuring high level presentation, company branding, governance whilst ensuring version control is maintained.
Able to prepare scopes of work and send out invitations to tender.
Perform other ad hoc duties.

Education And Work Experience
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Construction Estimator/Quantity Surveyor.
Good ability to read plans and architectural drawings.
Proficient with Microsoft programs, especially excel.
Managed multiple projects varying in size, value & complexity.
Solid experience in forecasting estimates & budgeting of projects
Knowledge of relevant technical and non-technical documents.
Sound construction knowledge & good grasp of building codes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under own initiative.
Can start immediately
