ASAP Fence is a leading fence installation company with a strong commitment to providing top-quality services to our clients. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Permitting Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in English and a strong understanding of the permitting process within the construction industry and has project management experience with residential homeowners. We may also split this into 2 separate roles for permitting and project management depending on applicant abilities.
Responsibilities:
As a Permitting Assistant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Prepare and submit permit applications for fence installation projects in accordance with local regulations.
Communicate effectively with clients, local municipalities, and other stakeholders to ensure timely processing of permit applications.
Maintain organized records of permit applications, approvals, and related documentation.
Monitor the status of permit applications and follow up on any outstanding issues to expedite approvals.
Assist the project management team with coordinating and scheduling project activities to ensure compliance with permit requirements.
Research and stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations related to fence installation and construction projects.
Assist in the resolution of permitting issues that may arise during the course of a project.
For project management you will be responsible for managing from when estimators submit approved estimates to the installation of client projects. This includes client communication, confirming materials, ordering materials, managing change order requests, and updating clients on installation appointments and the status of their jobs.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in permitting or a related field within the construction industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience in reading construction documents and marking them up.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
