ABOUT US:
I’m the founder of an online financial education business based in Australia. We teach personal finance (saving, budgeting, investing etc) via an online course. Our work has changed the lives of hundreds of people helping them get out of financial stress and create more financial security for themselves.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
I’m looking for a copywriter/ghostwriter to help us with our marketing and content creation needs. The role requires a high proficiency in writing in English, and the ability to adapt your writing for different platforms and goals (e.g. writing for social media vs writing a press release).

Despite being in the personal finance space, our tone and style of writing is NOT formal or technical. We have a very conversational tone and style, informal but not too casual, as our demographic is the everyday person who wants to improve their financial literacy. So, we do NOT produce corporate, technical, or complicated financial content. Quite the opposite, we try to make things as simple, and easy to understand as possible.

This role has the potential for growth opportunities and a long-term relationship for the right person who is reliable and hardworking. You’ll be working closely with me (the founder), and I take pride in taking care of my team well, ensuring we build a strong relationship based on mutual trust and respect.

Here is an example of some of the types of content you may be writing:
> Guest post / media articles (for media publications)
> Press releases to be distributed to media/journalists
> Pitch emails to journalists
> Social Media Posts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
> Facebook ad copy
> Email newsletters
> Sales and marketing funnels
> Landing pages, sales pages, website pages
> Blog posts

You will need to be able to absorb my tone, style of writing/teaching, stories etc, and personality and adapt your writing to sound like me. Along with writing, you may be tasked with: editing, posting on social media, content ideation and research, interviewing our students/customers to collect stories/testimonials, and improving our content management system/processes.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR:

> Fantastic with written English
> Good understanding of storytelling, persuasion and direct response copywriting
> Creative flair in writing style
> Good understanding of AI tools to assist with copywriting
> Experience writing a broad variety of content, including marketing/sales content
> 2+ years experience working remotely/online/as a freelancer
> prior experience marketing/sales content for a online course/coaching/content business preferred
> some basic skills in graphic design (Canva) and using social media tools would be preferred

> Self-motivated and organised: you’ll be working independently so you need to keep yourself organised
> Detail oriented and efficient: some of the tasks require an eye for detail
> Trustworthy, honest and highly reliable: these are probably the highest qualities I look for in candidates
> Enthusiastic to learn and grow: a positive attitude to feedback and learning opportunities
