Job Description

We are looking for a content editor to join our content team at Aloa!

Please see below for what your responsibilities will be:
1. Perform SEO Checklist duties. We have our own checklist of all SEO metrics that must be included in every single article. You will be responsible for cross-referencing every single article written and ensuring that it includes every SEO metric that we have listed out.

2. Fill out Performance Reviews based on written work. You will assess the quality of each piece written so we can determine if writers are not being efficient and who needs more training. For example, if it takes you 20 minutes to edit one writer versus 1.5 hours to edit another writer, we need to know that.

3. Assign graphics. Each article will be accompanied with custom graphics. You will have to assign and tag our graphics team member for each article so they are aware of what their backlog of work is in putting together graphics for each piece of content.

4. Enter all listicle entries into a google form — for outreach purposes. For any blog pieces that are categorized as listicles, which we will tell you, you have to enter them into a form so we can aggregate al listicles we are writing so we can properly reach out to any firms we are highlighting.

5. Find at least 3-5 “interesting topics” that are mentioned in the articles. This will allow us to build a backlog of topics that are tangentially related to the ones we have already written.

6. Have experience with content writing and editing to ensure that all pieces of content match Aloa’s tone of voice, have proper grammar, etc.

7. This role will work collaboratively with our Graphic Designer and other Content Writers. Candidate must demonstrate ability to proactively communicate and organize multiple deadlines.
