We seek a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team and assist in editing podcast videos and transforming them into engaging social media clips. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ADOBE video editing, storytelling and a keen eye for detail. They will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and reach of our podcast content across various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Podcast Video Editing:

Collaborate with the podcast team to receive raw video footage from podcast recordings. Review and select the most compelling moments from the podcast episodes for video editing. Edit and assemble video content, ensuring high-quality visuals and audio. Add appropriate transitions, graphics, and text overlays to enhance the viewing experience.
Maintain brand consistency and adhere to style guidelines throughout the editing process.

2. Social Media Clip Creation:

Identify key moments and highlights from podcast episodes suitable for sharing on social media platforms. Create short, engaging video clips tailored to social media channels (e.g. Instagram and YouTube shorts). Incorporate captions, subtitles, and eye-catching graphics to make the content more shareable. Optimize video clips for different aspect ratios and resolutions for each platform.

3. Audio Enhancement:

Ensure optimal audio quality by enhancing and cleaning up podcast audio when necessary. Add background music or sound effects to enhance the overall video experience.

4. Collaborative Communication:

Work closely with the podcast team to understand the podcast’s content and messaging to ensure alignment in video editing.
Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to create visually appealing graphics and assets for videos.

5. Technical Proficiency:

Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software, techniques, and trends to maintain a high level of proficiency in video editing tools.

6. Content Management:

Organize and manage video files and assets to maintain an efficient workflow.
Ensure video content is archived and easily accessible for future use.
