Comedic Content Manager for Standup Comedian

We are seeking a highly organized and creative Content Manager to join our team and ensure the smooth production and distribution of our standup comedy and podcast content across various social media platforms. As the Content Manager, your role will involve watching our brand’s podcast episodes, selecting highlight moments, cutting them into clips, and coordinating with video editors. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing standup comedy clips, creating thumbnails, captions, and hashtags for all content to be uploaded each week.

Responsibilities:
1. Watch our brand’s podcast episodes and identify 4-5 highlight moments from each episode to be used as short clips for social media platforms.
2. Cut down the selected moments into 10-60 second clips, ensuring they are engaging, entertaining, and suitable for each platform (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).
3. Collaborate with video editors to provide the selected clips, ensuring they receive the necessary instructions, including desired captions and any specific editing requirements.
4. Coordinate with the video editors to ensure timely delivery of the edited clips with captions, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing any feedback or adjustments needed.
5. Receive 3 standup comedy clips each week from our content team and create engaging thumbnails, captions, and relevant hashtags for each clip, following established guidelines and best practices.
6. Work closely with the comedian and the marketing team to understand the desired tone, messaging, and branding for each piece of content.
7. Use your creativity to develop compelling captions and hashtags that enhance the discoverability and engagement of the standup comedy clips and podcast highlight reels.
8. Conduct research and stay updated on current social media trends, platform algorithms, and best practices to optimize content reach and performance.
9. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content calendars are up to date, and all scheduled uploads are prepared and ready for distribution.
10. Maintain organized files and documentation for easy access and retrieval of content assets.
11. Track and analyze the performance of each uploaded clip and report insights and recommendations to the marketing team for future content strategies.

Requirements:
1. Proven experience in content management or a similar role, preferably in the entertainment industry.
2. Excellent understanding of social media platforms, their specific requirements, and best practices for content optimization (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).
3. Strong video editing skills, with the ability to cut and edit video content into engaging and entertaining clips.
4. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) is a plus.
5. Knowledge of creating compelling thumbnails and captions for social media platforms.
6. Familiarity with standup comedy and the ability to identify comedic moments and create engaging clips.
7. Creativity and a keen eye for visual and written content that resonates with our target audience.
8. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with the marketing team, video editors, and the comedian.
10. Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting tools to track content performance and provide actionable insights.
11. A passion for comedy, digital content, and staying up to date with industry trends.
