Job Description

At Nook & Cranny Mobile Detailing, we are a mobile detailing company looking to the value of a high end automotive detailer with the convenience of a car wash service. We’re in search of a highly skilled Controller to join our team and help identify and maintain our budgets and create a culture of ethics, trust, and productivity in their department. Ultimately, the Controller will be responsible for accounting for company expenses and revenue to keep the company financially healthy.

As you review the description, we welcome any questions you may have about our position or our team. The position would start part time at 10-15 hours per week with the opportunity for a long term, full time position within 6 months or less for the candidate that can drive revenue growth. All possibilities for raises are based upon work performance.
Primary Responsibilities/ Day in the Life
Accounting for company expenses & revenue in Quickbooks Online
Reconciling accounts with statements & producing Income, Cash Flow & Balance Sheet statements on a regular basis
Assisting with Budget Preparation, Forecasting and Assist with Strategic Financial Decisions based on accounting data
Assist with tax preparation, filing and planning
Outcomes/ Measurables We Expect
Give us better insight into the financial health of Nook & Cranny
Forecast based on available data for key business decisions such as hiring new employees, purchasing fleet vehicles, etc
Stay on top of tax planning strategies to ensure we don’t pay more in taxes than necessary
Skills & Qualifications
Strong Written and Verbal English
Strong experience in Accounting, Financial Forecasting & Tax preparation
An attitude that everything is “figureoutable” & if you don’t know something you’re willing to learn it & take the initiative to GET THINGS DONE, even if it’s not perfect.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, an attitude of integrity, commitment and a desire to learn, ie:
-Integrity. You are a good fit if you can be honest with your fellow team members. -Open communication and honesty are paramount to myself and the team. If you aren’t able to hit a deadline or made a mistake, be upfront about it
-Commitment. While this is starting part time as our business grows this will become full time. If you’re looking for a few months of work this is not for you.
-Desire to learn. Everything is “figureoutable” & if you don’t know something you’re willing to learn it & take the initiative to GET THINGS DONE
