About The Role
As a full-time Direct Response Copywriter, you’ll write copy that gets people to take action. This includes emails, case studies, landing pages, and more.
Your copy will be read by thousands of readers, and you’ll be able to see how it performs (open rates, CTR, etc.), so you can use that data to become a better writer.

What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like:
1. Customer Research: You’ll research our current — and target — customers, so you understand their pain points, desires, and more.
2. Idea Generation: Based on your research and experience, you’ll come up with unique and interesting ideas and “hooks” that grab attention and generate clicks and sales.
3. Writing Emails: Email is one of our main marketing channels. You’ll write emails that entertain, inform, and generate clicks and sales.
4. Writing Case Studies: We produce customer case studies on an ongoing basis. You will write these case studies in an entertaining, narrative format.
5. Writing Opt-Ins, Landing Pages, etc.: We have various copy needs. Some can be predicted. Some can’t. We’ll come to you when we need copy that gets people to take action.
6. Writing Content (Occasionally): This is NOT a content writing role. But we do produce a lot of content. So, every now and then, we may need you to help produce lead magnet content, etc.
7. Implementing Feedback: You’ll receive ongoing feedback on your copy as part of this role. It will be your job to take this feedback and implement it within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Identifying Trends, Themes, Etc.: If you notice certain hooks, angles, etc., tend to perform better than others — we want to hear about it, so you can help us maximize our results.
What You Need To Succeed
1. 2+ Years Of Copywriting Experience: You need to have a solid foundation of copywriting skills. You need to know basic copywriting formulas and frameworks, as well as how to write compelling headlines, bullets, etc.
2. Ability To Hit Deadlines: You need to do what you say you’re going to do, do it on-time, and do it well. Since we’re a small team, we rely a lot on trust. We must be able to trust you if you want to succeed in this role.
3. Excellent Written English: Since all of our content is in English, you must be able to write in a native English tone.
4. Ability To Understand Complex Topics: We work with accountants. As such, you’ll be expected to learn about the field of accounting and translate your knowledge into copy that sells.
5. Experience Working With Online Coaches / Courses: Ideally, you’ll have experience selling some sort of information product — whether that be an online course, book, coaching program, etc.
7. Ownership Of Your Work: Be thoughtful. Pay attention to detail. Do the best you can — and stand behind your work.
Intrinsic Motivation: We’re a remote team. There is no hand-holding here. We won’t be looking over your shoulder. So you must be motivated and willing to show up every day and contribute.
8. Ability To Implement Feedback: Since you’ll receive ongoing feedback in this role, you’ll need to know how to translate that feedback into edits to your copy.
9. “Big-Picture” Understanding: You need to be able to understand how your role — and your copy — fits into the bigger picture of the company’s goals, mission, and day-to-day practices.
10. Humility: We all make mistakes. We need someone who has the humility to acknowledge when they’ve messed up and to correct it as quickly as possible.
