This is a remote position.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Conveyancer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of property conveyancing, from contract preparation to settlement, ensuring that transactions are completed efficiently and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conveyancing and possess excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Conveyancing Process: Manage the end-to-end conveyancing process for residential and commercial property transactions, including drafting contracts, reviewing legal documents, and conducting title searches. Ensure all aspects of the transaction comply with applicable laws, regulations, and client requirements.

Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders involved in the conveyancing process. Provide timely updates, address inquiries, and communicate key milestones to ensure a smooth and transparent transaction experience.

Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on properties, including examining title deeds, survey reports, zoning regulations, and other relevant documents. Identify and address any legal issues or discrepancies that may arise during the conveyancing process.

Settlement Coordination: Coordinate settlement arrangements with all parties involved, including buyers, sellers, solicitors, and financial institutions. Prepare settlement statements, organise documentation, and facilitate the transfer of funds to ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions.

Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in property law, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of conduct, and ethical standards governing conveyancing activities.

Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the conveyancing team, including file management, document preparation, and general office tasks. Maintain accurate records, update databases, and assist with billing and invoicing as needed.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or related field is preferred.

Proven experience as a Conveyancer or similar role

Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing procedures, and relevant legislation governing property transactions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.

Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation, contract drafting, and legal analysis.

Proficiency in conveyancing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Paralegal experience in a real estate or property law firm is desirable but not essential.
