COO / General Manager

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

We need a COO / General Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into a tough, yet rewarding business environment. You’ll be the go-to person for bringing order and structure to our day-to-day operations. Think of yourself as the bridge between our vision and execution, as a leader to everyone else in the (small) organization.

We’re CW Media GmbH – a Consulting Business based in Germany, with a passion for helping businesses grow and thrive. And we are all about empowering entrepreneurs to systematize and scale their operations. This year we’re creating an all new tight-knit team with a startup vibe, where innovation, accountability, and continuous learning are part of our DNA – and you will be at the helm of it, taking decisions together with the CEO.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

Be the day-to-day management wizard in our team: Team-Management, process development, customer contact and much more. You will work side-by-side with the CEO to align our day-to-day actions with our big-picture vision. You’ll manage our team of video editors, help with project management, and even handle some customer service if you like to. You’re the person who is the tie-breaker for the leadership teams crazy ideas, the glue for the organization, that holds everything together, beats the drum, is accountable for results, executes the business plan, holds the Leadership Team accountable, and is the steady force in the organization. You create organizational clarity, communication, and consistency; typically (but not always) operate more on logic; drive results; force resolution, focus, team unity, prioritization and follow-through; You’re the filter for all of the Visionary’s ideas; harmoniously integrating it all in the Leadership Team; and help to remove obstacles and barriers.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

Has hands-on experience managing a team – but don’t worry if you don’t – We will help you grow. However: something we cannot teach you is the drive for leading and inspiring a team, solving problems at a very high level and world class communication skills. You really need to be able to make things happen and have a lot of drive in a proactive, energetic environment. Ideally, you have a business or management degree (but it’s not a deal-breaker).

The Practical Stuff:

This is a full-time gig (40 hours/week), and we’re offering $1000+/month.
You’ll be working remotely, but let’s try to sync up with German business hours.
Yes, we track hours, but we’re more about results and less about clock-watching.
