Job Description

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Therapy Coordinator to sell services for the Home Health therapy industry in order to attract new business, use a variety of marketing techniques to attract potential customers, schedule meetings with these customers, and conduct focus groups to pinpoint consumer wants and needs.

Therapy Coordinator reports to and acts as a liaison between clinicians and home health agency partners and would be responsible for patient chart oversight, ensuring that clinicians are treating patients in a timely manner as well as with the prescribed frequency in addition to submitting the appropriate documentation and assigning therapist to patient referrals.

Qualifications:

– Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
– Preferably with background in healthcare
– Proficiency in office skills, including typing and computer skills, and in the use of office equipment required.
– Excellent written and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

– Responsible for ensuring compliance with all agency policies, state and federal clinical regulations.
– Provides supervision and oversight of Registered Therapists, COTA’s, and PTA’s to include management of therapy productivity, staffing requirements, customer service, skills competencies, and initiating corrective action.
– Tracks licensure and certification of therapy associates.
– Performs ongoing audits to identify targeted problems.
– Develops and follows an orientation schedule with each new therapy associate, responsible for orienting new staff members, including completion of department orientation checklist and introduction/explanation of department policies and procedures.
– Manages resources to ensure effective delivery of care within budget parameters, provides input to departmental budget, controls unit expenses.
– Tracks timeliness of all documentation and patient recertification to ensure performance is met.
– Establish short-term goals and objectives for therapy staff, conducting weekly meetings, track scorecards and performance indicators of staff.
– Monitor staff productivity and staffing requirements per patient caseload.
– Ensure program compliance with the requirements of regulation agencies.
– Collect statistical data to monitor services utilization.
– Monitor outcomes of the rehabilitation program.
– Evaluate performance results of staff members; communicate performance discussions and results to administrators.
– Identify training needs and evaluate training alternatives.
– Evaluates and may modify treatments as necessary to achieve desired outcome.
– Ensures documentation for each patient is in compliance with policies and regulations.
– Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
– Handles stress well and gets along with others within the workplace and with customers outside the department.
– Maintains acceptable standards of workplace conduct.
– Other duties that both parties may agree upon.
