JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our US based business (Smart Brand Marketing) helps course creators, authors and coaches sell more online courses.

You need to understand persuasiveness, storytelling & human psychology and be able to quickly learn others, be results driven, detail-oriented, hard-working, highly organized, and have your own unique creative approach.

This is a fully remote position.

We are searching for a person who loves to produce amazing sales copy (pages, emails, headlines), to increase % of students sign up for courses to support our marketing efforts.

We require that you possess the skills to do market research and write copy.

We provide some training and support but do expect you to also be able and find solutions on your own. This is not beginner’s role as we expect you to show results fast.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This exciting part-time copywriting role, with a chance to work on exciting projects, prove your value, learn new skills and make good money. All work is fully remote – so you can work from anywhere.

Salary is negotiable depending on your experience. We can pay between $400/month – $850/month.

If you’re an expert at running ads that perform and are passionate about advertising then we want to hear from you.

This is suitable for someone hard-working with proven experience as a media buyer or a similar role. You should possess excellent communication sills, be organized, have attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

You’ll be learning a lot. You won’t ever be comfortable just coasting along. This is a demanding role, with tons of support to help you improve your skills.

You will be expected to take responsibility for studying copywriting & advertising techniques to improve your skills. You will have access to dozens of top-of-the-line online training courses, and coaching from the CEO and other team members. You’ll also have the chance to do the work, make some mistakes and learn from experience.

The role involves working with me (CEO), Lisa (Project Manager) and the rest of the team.

If you had been working for us in the last couple of months these are a sample of some of the tasks you would have done:

– Gather demographic information from client
– Market research problems
– Create hooks and headlines for online courses
– Write sales pages based on our guidelines
– Use main ideas to craft emails and ads
– Come up with alternative selling points for split testing
– Research competition for new angles
– Give suggestions on how to improve opt-in pages/sales pages to increase conversions
– Create reports (weekly & monthly)

Tasks will be set up in our project management system (Nifty), and need to be ticked off in there so we can keep track of what has been done.

We have detailed SOPs (standard operating procedures) written up for how to do some of these jobs, and others need to be figured out. Whenever there is a task that involves figuring something out you will be expected to study how to do it, come up with options and get approval before implementing it.

There will be a 3-month trial period for the role to check that we are a good match for each other (fully paid of course). After this time when you become a regular employee there are paid holidays and sick days.

ABOUT YOU

We need someone who is:

– Proficient in conducting in-depth market research, including trend analysis, competitor assessment, and customer behavior insights.
– Understanding persuasion along with human psychology.
– Extremely organized & detail-oriented
– Able to go over a client brief think of ways to convey the message effectively based on outcome of course and audience
– hard-working – we value results not time spent on tasks. We get a lot done very quickly. You will need to as well.
– Fluent in English to write effective and persuasive copy as well as communicate with clients and other team members to understand their needs and goals, and to ensure that projects meet their goals & requirements
– 3+ years of experience in writing copy (or equivalent)
– Likes to have a laugh – we mess around quite a lot as well as working hard

This role is for experienced candidates only. Not a beginner position.
