Copywriter + Newsletter and Social Media Manager

I’m hiring for a Newsletter Manager + Copywriter in the Finance / Tech Niche [Long-Term, Part-Time —> Potential for Full-Time]

These will either be 1 or 2 separate hires, depending on the applications and skill level. You should be good at one, or ideally, both:

1) Managing a Brand New Newsletter and Social Media
2) Copywriting compelling posts, repurposed newsletters from YouTube scripts.

This is a self-starter role – you will start the newsletter from the ground up and be the driver/lead of the management and growth of the newsletter. You will be REPURPOSING YouTube transcripts in the FINANCE and/or TECH niche to writing for newsletter + repurposing content to other social media platforms. We are looking to innovate from what’s already out there, utilizing creative and out-of-box brainstorming to stand out from the crowd. Looking for a long-term hire, who is hungry and results driven! Writing Skillsets:
1. Strong Writing and Editing Skills: You love writing. Ability to craft engaging content and edit for grammar, style, and clarity. Repurpose content from already existing YouTube video scripts into many forms of content – newsletter, twitter post, etc. Witty, concise writing ability is plus. (Think Morning Brew, or The Hustle)
2. Niche Interest/Expertise – You must have niche expertise or interest in the Tech and/or Finance niche. You enjoy keeping up / learning about the nice.
3. Enhanced Skillset with AI tools: Able to keep up with and utilize AI tools to speed the process. However as a note, the writing should not be done by AI – it is simply a helpful tool to use and we do not want generic copy.

Management/Social Media Skillsets:
1. Newsletter Management Experience: Familiarity with email newsletter marketing management platforms.
2. Social Media Marketing Knowledge: Familiar with best practices and repurposing content (twitter, threads, youtube, etc)
3. Graphic Design Skills: Competence in creating visually appealing newsletter layouts using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. Design layouts as needed for other platforms.
4. Project Management and Strategy Pivot from Data: Strong organizational skills to manage newsletter schedules, content deadlines, and distribution lists. Monitor the effectiveness of each newsletter issue using analytics tools (open rates, click rates, and subscriber growth) and suggest improvements.
