Sidekick is a remote-based Chartered Accountancy firm in the UK that provides end-to-end accounting and advisory services to ambitious businesses. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic bookkeeper to join our remote team and help our clients gain insight into their financial performance. This position offers you the opportunity to work from home.

Requirements:
– CPA qualification is essential
– You MUST have worked in a client-facing role already, in practice or with an international company
– At least 2 years of general or tax accounting experience
– Experience in end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping
– Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written). This will be tested.
– Practical on-the-job experience with Xero
– Other software you will use daily: Dext, Excel, Slack, Karbon

Responsibilities:
– Manage a portfolio of clients that you will work closely with in a tailored way
– Perform weekly bookkeeping duties for all clients in your portfolio
– Directly communicate with UK clients via email and own the bookkeeping relationship
– Hold responsibility for the accuracy of data in Xero, ensuring the accounts are up to date weekly using Dext, Xero bank reconciliation, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
– Support in setting up accounting systems and bookkeeping processes for new clients
