JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Unimar Marble and Granite is looking for a full-time AutoCAD drafter.
AutoCAD drafters operate mostly in offices, although they may be required to go to project sites on occasion to acquire or check measurements and other pertinent information. Their daily tasks include interacting with the sales team and other experts to explain design criteria, producing drawings using CAD software, and evaluating design drawings to ensure they are correct and follow industry standards. This job collaborates with sales executives and the sales manager.

qualifications and skills:
1. Proficient in using architectural design software, such as MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion
2. A 2-year- or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or proven success in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment..
3. Possess a firm grasp on the industry as a whole and stay up-to-date on evolving trends in architectural technologies.
4. Have great attention to detail and strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to develop technical drawings by analyzing design sketches and requirements.
6. Strong attention to detail is required to ensure that drawings are correct and meet standards.
7. Communication and interpersonal skills are required for collaboration with architects, engineers, and other professionals.
8. Working with several projects and conflicting deadlines requires time management abilities.
9. Engineering procedures and industry standards should be known.
10. Strong geometry & mathematic skills.
11. The candidate should be organized, curious, smart, analytic, and self-sufficient.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Utilize computer software to generate 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the project specifications.
2. Get feedback from the client and construction managers and revise designs as needed.
3. Notify superintendents and project managers of the design’s progress and when the designs are complete.
4. Analyze the scope of work and proposals with the construction drawings and information provided for the granite cut-to-size pieces to produce.
5. Generate shop drawings, setting plans, and fabrication tickets for the natural stone pieces to be manufactured, all using AutoCAD software.
6. Coordinate discrepancies and questions with customers, architects, and project engineers.
7. Make changes to technical drafts based on the annotations and comments of the project engineers and architects.
8. Submit the drawings to the project managers for approval before releasing them for production.
9. Calculate dimensions and list material requirements.
10. Maintain close communication with the production team for all requests with regards to any required information regarding the products to be produced.
11. Other duties as assigned.
