Creative Director / Social Media Manager – Must Know Japanese

Are you a content creator or social media specialist or graphic designer that also knows Japanese? This might be the perfect job for you!

Hi! my name is Justin, and I have a backpack store on Shopify for the Japanese market (so it’s in Japanese), and I’m looking to hire a Creative Director that is fluent in Japanese for the store. Your top level responsibility will be to have a continuous stream of new content being created so that it can be used as social media posts and advertisements. (You will be hiring other freelancers/influencers to film the content ideas that you come up with, and you’ll be editing it to make it upload-ready.)

The primary job of the Creative Director is the following:
** Social Media Management
– creating the posts (through image and video editing)
– Write captions in Japanese (with assistance from ChatGPT)
– Recreate the instagram account so there’s stronger brand identity and looks more professional
** Creatives Strategy
– Come up with ideas for video / photo content of the products – used for both Ads and Posts
– Find and contact influencers / fiverr & coconala content creators to have them bring to life the content you imagined – you will be the one communicating with them in both English & Japanese
– Study content created by brands in the same niche to come up with new ideas
** Content Creation
– Create videos and images from current and new assets that can be used as FB/IG/TT Ads

Desired Past Experiences
– Video Editing for Social Media (expert level)
– Photo Editing for Social Media (expert level)
– Reels / IG Story / Tiktok content creation
– Social Media (Instagram Account) Management
– Direct Response Marketing (not required, but beneficial to have)

Required Skills:
– Creativity (most important)
– Reliable
– Strong communication skills
– Photo Editing
– Video Editing
– ChatGPT or equivalent AI Chat (not required – can be learned)
– Be in tune with current trends on TikTok and Instagram for content ideas
– Japanese writing (N3 level or better)

Expectations
– Work 3 days a week, 4 hours per day
– As this is a brand new position, I want to see how much can be accomplished in 12 hours a week and adjust accordingly
