Job Description:
John Barber & Sons, a leading manufacturer of barber chairs and salon furniture, is seeking four highly motivated and competitive Category Champions to join our team. We are expanding our product lines and need dedicated managers to develop and oversee the following categories:
Barber Workwear and Accessories:
Focus on both classic and alternative styles, including jerseys, merch clothing, chains, bracelets, and barber-related pins.
Develop products that barbers can sell in their shops.
Lights:
Develop ceiling lights for better performance, ring lights from walls, neon signs, and decorative elements for walls.
Focus on both functional and aesthetic lighting solutions.
Decoration:
Combine neon signs with paintings, baseball bats, skateboards, customized items like rugs, and wall signs.
Create unique, artistic, and customizable decoration items.
Working Tools:
Source and develop tools ranging from air compressors to floor mats with anti-fatigue systems.
Focus on all essential tools a barber needs for their work.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for your category.
Source and manage relationships with suppliers and artists.
Create and customize a diverse and high-quality product range.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional campaigns.
Analyze sales data to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
Provide excellent customer service and support for any category-related inquiries.
Compete against other category managers and earn incentives based on performance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in category management, product development, or a related field.
Strong understanding of market trends and customer preferences in your category.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and artists.
Proficiency in using data analysis tools to drive decision-making.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the barber or salon industry is a plus.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online sales strategies.
