Job Description:
As a Video Editor at My CV Cover, you will be responsible for editing 3 to 4-minute documentary-style videos created using . You will play a critical role in shaping the final product, ensuring that it meets our creative and storytelling standards.
Your primary responsibilities will include –
Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage, ensuring the final video aligns with the creative direction and narrative structure.
Audio Enhancement: Work on improving the audio quality and clarity of recordings captured through , including noise reduction, audio balancing, and adding background music or sound effects where necessary.
Color Correction and Grading: Enhance the visual quality of the footage through color correction and grading to ensure a consistent and appealing look.
Transitions and Effects: Add transitions, text overlays, and visual effects to enhance the storytelling and engagement of the video.
Content Optimization: Trim and refine content for the most impactful and concise storytelling while maintaining the intended message.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the creative team, content creators, and other stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.
Feedback Integration: Be receptive to feedback and iterate on edits to meet the desired vision of the project.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that the final video is free from technical issues and adheres to our quality standards.
File Management: Maintain organized and efficient file management to keep track of assets and versions of each project.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of documentary-style work.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Knowledge of audio editing and enhancement techniques.
Familiarity with or similar remote recording platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of visual storytelling and pacing.
Creative and detail-oriented with an eye for design and aesthetics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of copyright and licensing considerations for audio and video content.
