Creative Virtual Assistant – Curator, Storyteller, and Proofreader

You’re the Jerk, a popular YouTube channel that explores various Reddit threads, is seeking a highly organized and creative Virtual Assistant to join our team. As our Virtual Assistant, you will play a crucial role in curating captivating stories, proofreading and editing content, and assisting in video production. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and proficiency in using AI tools (like ChatGPT), Notion templates, and Photoshop.

Responsibilities:

– Browse through Reddit and identify engaging threads suitable for our YouTube videos.
– Select threads that are of sufficient length and align with our content style.
– Utilize AI tools, provided templates, or your own writing skills to create compelling stories.
– Thoroughly review AI-generated stories to ensure coherence and accuracy, eliminating any discrepancies or nonsensical elements.
– Ask pertinent questions to clarify details and enhance story quality.
– Review and edit selected Reddit stories to remove swear words, internet slang, and abbreviations, ensuring natural, listener-friendly language.
– Collaborate with our video production software to input the proofread story text and afterthoughts, aiming for an estimated video length of around 20 minutes.
– Craft concise, thoughtful responses reflecting on each story, utilizing AI tools while ensuring logical coherence.
– Create simple, visually appealing thumbnails using Photoshop.

Qualifications:
– Excellent organization and research skills to curate captivating Reddit stories.
– Proficiency in utilizing AI tools, Notion templates, or similar resources for story creation and review.
– Strong command of written English with exceptional proofreading and editing abilities.
– Attention to detail to ensure content is suitable for a listening audience, avoiding inappropriate language and internet slang.
– Familiarity with Photoshop to create simple yet eye-catching video thumbnails.

Preferred Qualifications:
